When I was a kid, I would spend hours dreaming about someday owning a go-cart. After many years, I collecting enough miscellaneous parts to make one. I tested different designs and make many modifications always dreaming of how great it would be once it was done. Eventually, I ended up very nice go-cart.

I also dreamed of someday owning a sailboat. I eventually earned enough money to purchase one from a neighbor. The boat needed a lot of fiberglass, wood and sail work. Once again, I ended up spending hours dreaming about how to fix it and how much fun it would be to sail once the work was done. Eventually, I ended up with a very nice sail boat.

After completing the go-cart and sailboat, I could not dream about them in the same way anymore. However as we all know, kids never stop dreaming. So, I decided to combine the sailboat and go-cart to make a sail-cart! It sailed backwards and had no breaks, but it was a lot of fun...

What can we learn from this story?

Two things: As we dream about our future, we need to keep in mind that our dreams are only dreams until they are realized, at which point they become reality. We need to enjoy the journey that is life. The second thing we should learn is to never stop dreaming...
