If you have been following my racing over the years, you know that I have retired three times: First to purchase an accounting practice, second to purchase an office building, and third to take up flying. I have a feeling this time I'm retired for good although I have not sold my racing bike and still have a desire to race. Although I miss racing, I'm old enough that it now takes much more than a month for broken bones to heal. I also find it hard to find time required for the physical conditioning needed for racing. I'm hoping flying will provide the mental release motorcycle racing has. I'm really going to miss racing.

It would be impossible to me to describe the pure joy I gain from racing motorcycles. Racing motorcycles requires total concentration while out on the track. Making a one half second error can cause one to crash at over 100mph. I know because I have crashed more times that I cam remember. I think that is what makes racing so enjoyable. It requires me to make split second decisions that are final.
