Yearly Business Plan

Dear Client,

We've decided to offer a new service to our business clients starting in 2004.  Most small businesses do not have the time or resources needed to come up with or evaluate a business plan.  Additionally, for smaller clients the cost of paying an outside consultant to develop a business plan would most likely outweigh any benefit.  However, developing and evaluating a yearly business plan will help your business succeed.  Simply taking time to sit back and look at what worked, what did not work, and what might work in the future, can make a huge difference in the profitability of a business.  Our goal is to help our clients become as successful as possible.  We believe so strongly in the benefits of evaluating your business plan annually that we will offer to meet with you, at no charge for the first hour*, and do just that.

Although your needs may vary, we envision this new service to work as follows:

Shortly after completing your year end tax/financial work we will setup a meeting at our office - one hour should be enough for a basic plan.  This can be done when you come to pickup your returns or at a later date.  (You may want to include key employees, minority owners, bankers…)  We will start out by developing a long-term business plan.  We will then evaluate your prior year looking at key factors that affected its outcome.  Using past experience and a little brain storming, we will develop an additional one year business plan.  We will then set goals to help evaluate the success of the short-term plan that can be reviewed monthly or quarterly.  Annually, the prior year's goals will be evaluated and new goals set.
